Chris P. Lammando

President & Chief Executive Officer

Chris P. Lammando serves as President and Chief Executive Officer, leading the firm’s next chapter while upholding the commitment to integrity, collaboration, and trusted counsel that has long defined its work.

For more than three decades, Chris has built his career at the intersection of government, public policy, business, and community engagement. His approach to government relations is grounded in a simple principle: lasting results begin with trusted relationships. Throughout his career, he has earned the confidence of policymakers, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, community partners, and clients across Pennsylvania by listening, keeping his word, and approaching every issue with professionalism and respect.

Chris joined Richard Gmerek more than 15 years ago, bringing extensive experience in Pennsylvania state government. He previously served as Deputy Secretary for Legislative Affairs under Governors Tom Ridge and Mark Schweiker, focusing on economic and community development, public health and safety, education, and other legislative and policy initiatives. He also served as Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Ridge, focusing on cabinet agency activities and policy development.

That experience gave Chris a deep understanding of both the policymaking process and the importance of bringing diverse perspectives together to achieve meaningful results. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for thoughtful leadership, sound judgment, consensus building, and the ability to navigate complex issues while maintaining strong relationships across political and organizational lines.

Chris was previously named by PoliticsPA among Pennsylvania’s Top Government Relations Professionals Under 40.

His commitment to Pennsylvania extends beyond his professional duties. Chris serves on the Board of the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers, supporting entrepreneurship, small businesses, and economic opportunity across the Commonwealth. He also volunteers with the Ski Roundtop Volunteer Ski Patrol and is an active member of the Harrisburg Bicycle Club.

As President and CEO, Chris brings decades of government experience, institutional knowledge, and relationships, all grounded in a leadership philosophy centered on trust, integrity, and service. For Chris, effective government relations is ultimately about people: listening to diverse perspectives, finding common ground, and building relationships strong enough to endure beyond any single issue, legislative session, or administration.

Chris and his wife live in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and their son is currently attending The Ohio State University.
